Does 2.0 PRO® attach to my roof or harm my roof warranty in any way?
No. We follow proper roofing practices when installing 2.0 PRO® by not screwing or attaching the 2.0 PRO® to the roof or shingles. Our experts will carefully install your gutter guard system to perform reliably for years to come and effectively protect your home’s foundation.
Does the screen ever clog over time and need to be cleaned?
No. With the 2.0 PRO® proprietary design, you can rest easy knowing the screen can self-clean with the rain and wind as little as 10-15 mph. When you compare our gutter guard system with the others, you will quickly see one big difference: the angled installation. While other systems are installed flat on your gutter, ours is angled so that leaves, dirt, and debris cannot accumulate on top, creating clogs.
The angled design, coupled with the “non-stick” property of the stainless steel, ensures your gutter system isn’t plagued with debris buildup and doesn’t require maintenance. In fact, if the screen were ever to clog, we would come out and clean it for free!
Does 2.0 PRO® keep out pine needles?
Yes. 2.0 PRO® keeps out pine needles and will also keep out debris as fine as shingle sand. So how does it do this?
While it’s easy to design a system that prevents debris as large as leaves and twigs from clogging your gutters, it takes careful consideration and meticulous testing to formulate a design that prevents a buildup of particulates as small as shingle sand. At Gutter Guard Experts®, we are proud to be the innovators of this type of system. 2.0 PRO® is made with a stainless steel 440-micron mesh that keeps out the smallest of debris. Pine needles, shingle sand, bees, and other insects are no match for this gutter guard system.
What makes 2.0 PRO® unique from other micro-mesh systems?
Most micro-mesh systems are cheaply made using plastic frames or no frame at all. 2.0 PRO® is made with aircraft-grade extruded aluminum for superior durability.
While LeafFilter was the first gutter guard system using micro-mesh, it was severely lacking in other areas. For example, its frame was made out of plastic, which warps over time due to the expansion and contraction of the material in hot and cold temperatures. Once the system was bent out of shape, it could no longer perform reliably.
At Gutter Guard Experts, we set out to create a permanent solution for gutter cleaning, and from that passion, 2.0 PRO® was born. These gutter guards make use of aircraft-quality extruded aluminum with a tensile strength of over 20,000 psi, making them ten times stronger than the average gutter guard.
Do I have to replace my whole gutter system?
No. 2.0 PRO® is designed to install onto your existing gutter system. Before starting the installation process, our pros will clean your gutters and downspouts, ensure they are properly aligned, seal all corners and end caps, and reinforce the system with gutter brackets. If we determine the best course of action to replace your gutters, we can offer a complete gutter replacement.
Many people choose 2.0 vs. LeafGuard to save hundreds of dollars in installation costs. Unlike LeafGuard, where you need to get a new gutter system even if your current one is new or in good condition, gutter replacement is always a last resort with our team. We only recommend a replacement if that will allow your entire system to function correctly for years to come.
Does debris build up on top of the gutter guard?
No. Because 2.0 PRO® is installed at an angle, it self-cleans with 10-15 mph of wind. So you don’t have to worry about leaves, twigs, pine needles, or shingle sand building up on your gutter guards and preventing an adequate flow of rainwater away from your home.
